THE DEROZIO AWARD - The Procedure

The Process
The procedure for application is flexible. Nomination forms are designed to provide basic information. Additional documentation would be called for from shortlisted nominees.

Validity of Nominations
Nominations received will be considered only for the year in which the application is made.

Procedure

  • The Jury shall meet once a year to consider the nominations and make its selections.
  • The Jury shall establish procedures for selecting the awardees.
  • The decision of the jury will be final and binding.
  • The Jury may make recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Council to promote the Awards.
  • The Secretary to the Jury shall convene the meeting.

The Jury consists of:

  1. Mr. Neil O’Brien, Chairman, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
  2. Mrs. Joy Michael, Former Principal, St. Thomas School, New Delhi.
  3. Air Marshal D. Keelor, former President, Y.M.C.A.
  4. Mr. Bhasker Ghose, IAS Retd. Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
  5. Dr. Anil Wilson, Principal, St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
