The Council - National Awards

THE DEROZIO AWARD - The Jury

The Jury shall consist of the following:

  1. The Chairman of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, shall be ex-officio Chairman of the jury.
  2. An eminent public servant or ex-judge of the Supreme Court.
  3. Two eminent educationists who have established record(s) of service in school education.
  4. A person of eminence, who has served in the armed forces.
  5. The Chief Executive of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations shall be the ex- officio Secretary to the Jury.

Note: Appointments of members in categories (ii), (iii) and (iv) will be made by the Executive Committee of the Council each year.

Role of Jury
The Jury will meet sometime in July/August each year, discuss and finalise the Awards. The nominations will be initially screened by a committee under the Chief Executive of the Council. Twenty shortlisted nominations will be put up to the Jury. The Jury shall decide the awardees for the year.
